What is a Life Coach?

While therapists and counselors often focus on addressing specific problems or issues, life coaches typically take a more holistic approach that centers on the individual as a whole rather than solely on their problems.  Life coaches often operate from a strengths-based perspective, focusing on identifying and leveraging the client's strengths, talents, and resources rather than dwelling on their weaknesses or problems.  Our life coaches are professionally trained using the International Coaching Federation core competencies as well as insitutional values and recieve more than 33 hours of coaching-specific training.  Coaches and students meet for approximately 30 minutes each session two to three times a month.  

do I need a life coach?

If you answer yes to any two of the following you would benefit from a life coaching session.  
  1. Feeling Stuck: If you find yourself feeling stuck in a rut or unsure of how to progress in certain areas of your life, such as career, relationships, or personal development.

  2. Lack of Clarity: If you lack clarity about your goals, priorities, or direction in life, and you're seeking guidance and support to gain clarity and set meaningful goals.

  3. Procrastination or Lack of Motivation: If you often procrastinate, struggle with motivation, or find it challenging to take action towards your goals despite knowing what you want to achieve.

  4. Feeling Overwhelmed: If you frequently feel overwhelmed by responsibilities, commitments, or life transitions, and you're seeking strategies to manage stress, prioritize tasks, and find balance.

  5. Desire for Personal Growth: If you have a desire for personal growth, self-improvement, or greater fulfillment in life, and you're looking for support and accountability to make positive changes.

  6. Challenges in Relationships: If you're experiencing challenges in your relationships, whether with romantic partners, family members, friends, or colleagues, and you're seeking guidance on communication, boundaries, or conflict resolution.

  7. Seeking Career Development: If you're navigating career decisions, transitions, or challenges, and you're looking for guidance on exploring career options, advancing professionally, or finding work-life balance.

  8. Low Self-Confidence: If you struggle with low self-confidence, self-esteem, or self-belief, and you're seeking support to build self-confidence, overcome self-doubt, and develop a more positive self-image.

  9. Wanting Accountability: If you have goals or aspirations but struggle to stay accountable or motivated to achieve them on your own, and you're seeking accountability and support from a coach.

  10.
