Internships and registered apprenticeship programs can significantly benefit employers wanting to recruit a more highly skilled workforce.
Internships
Internships are a great solution for employers wanting to help students close the skills gap with real-world experience; plus, hiring an intern is the best way to evaluate his or her potential as a full-time employee. They are typically temporary work-based learning experiences. Employers have the flexibility to provide part-time or full-time, paid or unpaid, work experiences with the salary, work hours, and length of training pre-determined by the employer. Internships are available to students actively enrolled in or graduated from UA Cossatot’s accredited certificate or degree programs. These programs are designed with current business and industry needs in mind.
Apprenticeship Programs
Apprenticeship programs, registered and validated by the U.S. Department of Labor, are ideal for employers wanting to customize a program’s content with a focus on mastering specific skills. you may visit https://simplebooklet.com/apprenticeshipforbusinesses#page=3 to learn more about apprenticeship programs, employer benefits, and the program approval process. Colleges and universities play various roles in apprenticeship, including training providers, intermediaries, or sponsors.
