UA Cossatot offers customized training aligned with each client’s specific needs.  Our training coordinators partner with you to:

 We offer pre‑designed training to strengthen workforce capability across key skill areas, including:

Occupational-Specific Programs

Employers may sponsor employees in our open‑enrollment continuing education courses. Current offerings can be viewed at cccua.edu under Community & Workforce → Career Training Programs.  Training coordinators are available to assist with registration.  Popular programs include:

Industry Certifications

 We provide training and certification preparation for widely recognized credentials, including:

  • American Heart Association: BLS, CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens
  • NCCER: National Center for Construction Education and Research
  • OSHA: OSHA 10 and OSHA 30

Assessment Services 

 Make confident hiring and promotion decisions with our assessment options.

  • Pre‑Employment Assessments: Customized written and hands‑on evaluations to verify applicants’ job‑ready skills.
  • AR National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC): Full testing services to help employers identify individuals with essential workplace competencies.

Internships

Strengthen your workforce pipeline with structured, skills‑focused learning.  Provide real‑world experience to current students or recent graduates while evaluating potential future employees. Internships may be part‑time or full‑time, paid or unpaid, based on employer preference. 

Internships are available to students actively enrolled in or graduated from UA Cossatot's accredited certificate or degrees programs and career training certificate programs delivered by Continuing Education.

Free Grant Writing Support

Our training coordinators provide free, comprehensive support for Arkansas Office of Skills Development (OSD) training grants for training projects delivered by UA Cossatot . This includes organizing and completing the OSD grant application on behalf of the client, as well as managing the required final reporting once training is complete.  The Arkansas Office of Skills Development strengthens the state’s workforce by funding professional employee development, reduction of skill gaps, and customized technical training.  These grants help Arkansas companies build a more skilled workforce while reducing training costs.
