University of Arkansas Cossatot has announced that full-time students who qualify can apply and receive a $500 CARES ACT Grant this spring. Part-time students who qualify can also apply and can receive a $250 CARES ACT Grant this spring. Full-time students must be enrolled in 12 hours or more at UA Cossatot, and part-time students must be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours at the college. This grant was established with federal funds to help students that were and are still financially being impacted due to disruptions caused by COVID-19.
The deadline to register for spring classes and receive a spring CARES ACT Grant is Monday, January 11, 2021. After registering for spring classes, students can complete the application at www.cccua.edu/cares on Monday, February 1, 2021. The $500 and $250 checks will be mailed to students who qualify starting Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
UA Cossatot still has $78,131 of CARES ACT funds left from previous semesters to be awarded to UA Cossatot students this spring. Funds are limited, so it is best to apply early.
Students who are taking online courses or who have previously received the grant this past year are still eligible to apply for the CARES ACT Grant this spring.
