Bryant Pagan II will be joining the UA Cossatot basketball program, where he will be serving as the Assistant Basketball Coach with a special emphasis on the program's Operations and Strength and Conditioning. Bryant joins the Colts after serving as the Associate Head Coach for the COOZ Elite National Premier 17U team, the Head Coach for their Secondary 17U National team, as well as handling the Program's Operations for all levels.
During his time with COOZ Elite Bryant has had the opportunity to coach, mentor, and develop numerous players that have gone onto play overseas, at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels, as well as Junior college programs across the country. He has also had the opportunity to work with and develop an NBPA TOP 100 camper in the Class of 2020, and a McDonald's All-American Honorable Mention. In the summer of 2019, the program made a historic run on the Under Armour Rise circuit finishing as the runner up in the UA Rise National Championship in Atlanta, GA. COOZ Elite Sports is a Premier independent AAU brand based out of 3rd Ward Houston, TX, directed by former Wichita State standout PJ Cousinard.
Bryant began his coaching career in 2011, where he served as an Assistant Coach for PG County's 4A South Division - Laurel High School Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity basketball programs, which is located in Laurel, Maryland. He served in this role until 2014.
Coach Pagan's mantra is, "Work hard for me, and I'll work hard for you!" He believes in building transformative relationships with his student-athletes in order to push them to their maximum potential.
Bryant Pagan received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Hampton University, a prestigious HBCU institution located in Hampton, Virginia.

I felt that it was imperative to have someone that is committed to building strong, genuine relationships with our players, the student body, and the community. Bryant is an extremely hard worker, has a background as an educator as well as experience working with high-level student-athletes", said Athletic Director & Head Basketball Coach Robert Byrd.
